Zambia Private Visitor Visa
The Private Visitor Visa is similar to the Tourist Visa for Zambia. The only difference is that the Private Visitor Visa is intended for people who are coming to the country to visit friends or relatives.
Citizens of a lot of countries (United States included) can get this on arrival (just get the normal tourist visa to make your life simpler). If you don’t fall into the visa on arrival group, you are going to need to get a referral before entering the country.

You need to check the website of the Consulate or Embassy you found in Step 1 above to confirm what documents are required for you. They should look a lot like what is stated on this page at the Embassy of Zambia in Washington D.C.
- Visa fees might vary depending on where you apply, so go to the website of the Embassy or Consulate you found in Step 1.
- If you are applying in the U.S., the latest visa fees are listed here.
- Submit your required materials from Step 2 and visa fee from Step 3 to the Embassy or Consulate you found in Step 1.
- Submission instructions will vary from consulate to consulate. Check the submission instructions at the website of the embassy or consulate you found in Step 1.
Congratulations! The Embassy or Consulate of Zambia will give to you your brand new Zambia visa.
