  • Business visas cannot be extended in Uzbekistan and require you to reside at hotels rather than private residences during your stay in the country.

Visa required for non-U.S. citizens:  All foreigners except citizens of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Russia and Ukraine, are required to have business or tourist visas to enter the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Gather the Required Documents

These documents might vary from consulate to consulate around the world, but they are the same for the two U.S.-based consulates. If you are not a U.S. citizen and reside in the U.S., click here to see your requirements.

Submit your required materials from Step 2 to the consulate you found in Step 1

If you want to apply in person, check the consulate hours carefully.

If you want to apply by mail

  • Be sure to enclose a self-addressed, prepaid return envelope of either FedEx or U.S. Postal Service Priority or Express Mail

The Uzbekistan Consulate will give you your brand new Uzbekistan visa.

  • If you applied in person, go pick it up.
  • If you applied by mail, wait until it gets to you.
  • If your stay in Uzbekistan exceeds 3 days and you are NOT staying at a hotel, you are required to register with the Ministry of Interior local department within 3 business days after your arrival.
