Oman Transit Visa

Oman Transit Visa

If you are heading through Oman en route to another destination, you might need to get a Transit Visa depending on what country you are from.

(Go to my Oman visa page for information on other types of visas for Oman.)

I’ll break everything down for you below about how to go about getting the Oman Transit Visa.

  • Visa required for U.S. citizens before you go to Oman:  No.
    • U.S. citizens may obtain a 30-day visa by presenting their U.S. passports on arrival at all Oman land, sea, and air entry points.
1
Find your closest consulate

If you’re inside the U.S.:

Embassy of The Sultanate of Oman in Washington D.C.

If you’re outside of the U.S.: Click here.

2
Gather documentation

The official list of required documents is here at the Royal Oman Police website, but you should definitely check the website of the Consulate or Embassy you found in Step 1 above to confirm what is required for you.

3
Visa fee
  • Go to the website of the Embassy or Consulate you found in Step 1 in order to find out the latest fees that apply to you (fees may vary depending on where you apply and taking into account currency exchange differences from place to place).
4
Submit materials
  • Submission instructions will vary from consulate to consulate.  I recommend you check the submission instructions at the website of the embassy or consulate you found in Step 1.
5
Receive your visa

The Embassy or Consulate of Oman will give to you your brand new Oman visa.
