If you are headed to Nepal to study, you will need to get a Nepal Study Visa (a.k.a. Nepal Student Visa).  As stated here at the Department of Immigration, the study visa shall be granted to the foreigners, and to their family members, who, after having obtained the approval of the Government of Nepal, come to study, teach or conduct research works in any educational institutions in Nepal.

Get accepted by a school

Go to Nepal on a tourist visa

Locate the Ministry of Home Affairs

Gather documents and forms

Visa fee

The official visa fees are posted here at the Ministry of Home Affairs website. You will need to scroll down the page and go to Appendix 9 (Part 3).

Submit materials

Submit your required materials from Step 2 and visa fee from Step 3 to the Nepal Department of Immigration.

Receive your visa

Congratulations!  The Ministry will give to you your brand new Nepal visa.
