Going to Mozambique on business?  Lucky you!  Mozambique is truly an awesome country and one of my favorite countries in Africa.  It is great if you are going to do business there too.  All sorts of opportunities are beginning to pop up in the mining and natural resources sector.

Let me tell you below how to get a Business Visa for Mozambique.  This visa type is for foreigners traveling on business.  The visa is good for a stay of 30 days, extendable to 90 days.

Visa required for U.S. citizens before you go to Mozambique:  Yes. 

Visa required for non-U.S. citizens before you go to Mozambique:  If you are on this list, you DO NOT need a visa in order to enter Mozambique. Visas for short term transit, tourist and business stays can be purchased on arrival at ports of entry in Mozambique.

Gather documentation

Visa fee

The appropriate processing fee should be made payable to “Embassy of Mozambique” if applying at the Embassy of Mozambique in Washington D.C.
Payments must be made by money order (UNITED STATES OR CANADIAN DOLLARS ONLY).

The fee will depend on how long you want to stay in Mozambique, whether you want single-entry, double-entry, or multiple-entry, and how quickly you want the visa to be processed.

Submit materials

Submit your required materials from Step 2 and visa fee from Step 3 to the embassy or consulate you found in Step 1.

If you want to apply in person: If you applied at the Embassy in Washington D.C., be mindful of the hour of operation of the Consular Section of the Embassy: Monday – Friday: 9am – 1pm

If you want to apply by mail: Enclose a self-addressed prepaid return envelope.

Receive your visa

Congratulations! The Embassy of Mozambique will give to you your brand new Mozambique visa.
