Malta Visa General Information and Eligibility

  • Visa required for U.S. citizens before you go to Malta:  No 
    • Malta is a party to the Schengen Agreement. This means that U.S. citizens may enter Malta for up to 90 days for tourist or business purposes without a visa.
  • Visa required for non-U.S. citizens before you go to Malta:
    • If you are on this list, you are required to have a visa for Malta.
  • Where to find the Malta Embassy or Consulate closest to your place of residence: 
    • If you’re inside the U.S.:
      • *Embassy of Malta
      • Permanent Mission of Malta
      • *Note that the Embassy in Washington, D.C. will only cater to applicants who reside in the United States with the exception of the state of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.  Residents of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut can send their application to our Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York.
