If you are traveling to Latvia for a short stay of up to 90 days, you might need to get a Short Stay Visa (i.e. Schengen Visa Type C) depending on what country you are from.

Most people who get the Latvia Short Stay visa are going there for tourism or business purposes.

I’ll break everything down for you below about how to go about getting the Latvia Short Stay Visa.

  • Visa required for U.S. citizens before you go to Latvia:  No 
    • Latvia is a party to the Schengen Agreement. As such, U.S. citizens for business or tourism are permitted to stay in the Schengen area for 90 days without a visa within a six-month period.
  • Visa required for non-U.S. citizens before you go to Latvia:
    • If you are on this list, you DO NOT need to get a visa before you go to Latvia.
