How to Get a Work Visa for Iceland

Iceland Work Visa

Iceland Work Visa

Did you get a job in Iceland and are heading there for work purposes? You are going to need to get a Work Visa for Iceland. The process is bureaucratic (but hey what country has a non-bureaucratic work visa process?).

There are essentially three kinds of work/residence permits for Iceland. You can check them out here.
You will need to submit applications and applicable supporting documents to the Immigration Directorate or the nearest District Commissioner‘s office.

The Directorate forwards the work permit application and employment contract to the Directorate of Labour for processing.
