If you need a tourist visa to Germany based on what I’ve outlined above, here are the steps:

1
Find your consulate

If you’re inside the U.S, you can find your jurisdiction at this webpage.

If you’re outside of the U.S., check at this site here.

2
Gather Documentation

Gather the required documents/follow the procedures here, including the visa fee.

3
Submit information

Submit the information that you gathered in Step 2 to the consulate that you located in Step 1.

Depending on the consulate you might be required to make an appointment to apply in person. Your consulate website will have details on whether you will need to make an appointment in order to submit an application or if you can apply by mail.

4
Receive your visa

Congratulations! After a period of waiting, the German Consulate/Embassy will give to you your brand new German visa.

5
Vaccination Requirements

Don’t get sick! Check vaccination requirements here at the CDC.
