Dominican Republic Visa Business Visa for Employment Purposes
Business visas are issued for work purposes to those who by nature of their occupation will remain in the Dominican Republic for a year without necessarily having to leave the country. This visa is usually awarded to individuals who are fulfilling fixed-term contracts in public or private companies established in the country and may be renewed for further periods of one year while the employment contract is still valid. Beneficiaries of this visa can apply for a driver’s license, open a bank account and enjoy applicable customs facilities.

I’ll break everything down for you below about how to go about getting the Business Visa for Employment Purposes in the Dominican Republic
Visa required for U.S. citizens: Yes.
Visa required for non-U.S. citizens: Yes.
If you’re inside the U.S, you apply at your closest consulate on this site here, but the consulates I have listed below are the only ones that have clear-cut information on how to apply for various visas. Note that the documents required for various visas change from consulate to consulate. Also, the New York website indicates nowhere what kind of visa services it provides.

Visa fees vary depending on what website you go to. Contact your consulate to find out the latest fee.
If applying in the United States, the latest visa fee is posted here. I recommend you to go to the Post Office and get a Money Order.
Submit your required materials from Step 2 and visa fee from Step 3 to the embassy or consulate you found in Step 1.
Check your consulate or embassy’s website for hours of operation.
Congratulations! You will receive your brand new Dominican Republic visa.
Visa applications are typically processed between 10 and 15 working days depending on date of travel, prior requests and staff availability.
