Visa required for U.S. citizens:  Yes, you also need to carry the WHO Yellow Card (“Carte Jaune”) indicating that you have been vaccinated for yellow fever.

Visa required for non-U.S. citizens:  Visas are required by EVERYONE EXCEPT the following nationalities: Algeria, Bulgaria, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Central African Republic, Chad, Republic of the Congo, Côte D’Ivoire, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Madagascar, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Taiwan, and Togo.

Gather the Required Documents

Visa Fee (if you are applying within the United States)
  • Visa fee for U.S. passport holders as stated here.
  • Visa fee for non-U.S. passport holders as stated here.

Submit your materials from Step 2 with the visa fee you got in Step 3 to the consulate you found in Step 1.
  • Processing time is around 3 business days.

Congratulations! The embassy/consulate will mail you your passport with visa
  • For U.S. passport holders, the visa will be valid for up to 36 months for single or multiple entries.
