Argentina Resident Visa

Argentina Resident Visa

Are you going down to Argentina to visit family and friends?  Or, maybe you are going down to Buenos Aires to eat nice, juicy steaks, dance Tango, and establish residence?   You will most definitely need a visa.

Go to my Argentina visa page for information on how to get a different type of visa for Argentina.

1
Find your consulate
  • If you’re outside of the U.S.check at this site here.
  • If you’re inside the U.S., you can find your “Jurisdiction” (i.e. based on the State you live in) here.
2
Gather documentation
  • Gather the required documents/follow the procedures as stated on your consular’s website including the visa fee.
  • The required documents will vary from consulate to consulate, so either call the consulate in your jurisdiction or go to the visa and consulate section of their website to see the required documents and fees for this type of visa.
  • Using the New York consulate as a guideline, the steps would be similar to those here.
3
Submit information
  • Submit the information that you gathered in Step 2 to the consulate that you located in Step 1.
  • Depending on the consulate you might be required to make an appointment to apply in person or do an interview.
  • Your consulate website will have details on whether you will need to make an appointment in order to submit an application or if you can apply by mail.
4
Receive your visa

Congratulations! After a period of waiting, the Argentina Consulate/Embassy will give to you your brand new Argentina visa.
