Albania classifies their visas according to how long you’ll stay in Albania and the reasons why. This type of visa is for someone who is taking a guided tourist trip through an Albanian tourist agency.

  • Visa required for U.S. citizens? No.
  • Visa required for non-U.S. citizens? If you are NOT on this list, you will need to get a visa prior to your arrival in Albania.

Here are the steps necessary to get a short term visa for Tourism for Albania with an organized tourist group, invited by an Albanian tourist agency (type C).  This visa is good for 90-180 days.  Go to my Albania visa page for more information on the different types of visas for this country.

Gather Documentation

A good list is at this site.  Click on that link and gather all of the documentation you’ll need.

Pay Visa Fees
  • If you’re applying in the United States, remember that the Washington D.C. consulate is the hub for people applying for visas for Albania.  Be sure to double check with the consulate in Washington D.C at this site here to see what the latest visa fee is for your type of visa.

Translate Your Documents
  • This is a tricky step!  All the documents submitted visa must be translated in Albanian and certified by a relevant authority.
  • If you are applying in the United States, you can contact the Washington D.C. consulate for both translation and certification services.  If they don’t provide these anymore, then they should be able to point you somewhere where this can be done.

Submit your documents
  • Once everything is ready, submit your documents to the consulate.

Receive Visa

Congratulations!  The Albanian Consulate/Embassy will give to you your brand new Albanian visa via mail or in person!
