How To Find a Job in Azerbaijan as a Foreigner

Baku, Azerbaijan

Baku, Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan is a country located on the the Caspian Sea between Iran and Russia. The official language is Azerbaijani, and the capital is Baku.

If your wish is to work in Azerbaijan, check out the selection of resources below for searching for employment opportunities in this country as a foreigner.

Azerbaijan is big into oil and gas, so if you have skills in this area, you might be in luck. A good place to start for you would be to check out the careers page at BP to see what opportunities they have. Other good resources to check out are RigZone (you might remember this website from my post on jobs in Angola), and the giant consulting firm Deloitte (although the opportunities at Deloitte will be more along the lines of consulting and finance than oil and gas).

If you do end up landing a job in Azerbaijan, you will most likely need to get a work permit. For that, you will need to head over to the State Migration Service, the government body that is in charge of all things related to the entrance of foreigners into the country.
