If you are looking to date someone in Poland, you might want to give online dating a try. There are quite a few large sites that are popular in this country.
Dating in Poland
As I mention in my online dating e-book, should you decide to sign up for the online dating sites I recommend below, be sure to read member profiles carefully as you might come across a lot of fake profiles. Usually, I can spot these profiles pretty easily. A woman who has only one picture posted, is wearing a form-fitting dress and making an overly suggestive pose are usually clear signals to steer clear. Another clue of a pretender is a woman who has a poorly written profile. As a general rule of thumb, the more boring the profile, the more boring the person.
Without further ado, here is the quick list of the top dating sites and apps in Poland. I’ll go into more detail in my reviews below.

Sympatia, which means sweetheart in Polish, is the best online dating site in Poland. If you only have the time to sign up for one site, this one is it.
Sympatia Poland
The site was launched in 2004, now has over 5.5 million users. Sympatia has the look and feel of a brand new website, with a sleek, impressive design, great communication options, and a host of supportive features, like an onsite blog, a mobile app, a regularly updated Facebook page, and sponsored singles events, such as speed-dating, weekend getaways, dance parties, tours and cruises.
If you’re looking for Polish singles, then you’ve found your website.
Sign up Process
Save a few minutes and register with your Facebook account, or enter your username, email, password, gender, birthday, and location. A minor drawback for me during the sign-up process was being required to agree to receive marketing emails from GrupaOnet.pl SA and process your personal information with GrupaOnet.pl SA for marketing purposes.
As this is usually an option, it felt weird that it was required. I don’t know about you, but my inbox is cluttered enough already with marketing emails. I suggest signing up with an e-mail account that is not your primary one.
After this step, you’re free to browse profiles, or finish the rest of your profile by verifying your email address, uploading photos, and specifying more personal information, like your appearance, education, a description of yourself, etc.
How to Locate Potential Matches
You can craft detailed searches for matches, specifying typical details like their age, location, personality, what they’re looking for on the site, zodiac sign, looks, career/education, values, and interests. There was one category I haven’t seen before: animal nature! This selection had four options: tiger, dolphin, zebra and swallow. Dolphins all the way, of course.
You can make searches with an unfinished profile, and see the results, but to actually view other profiles, and be seen by others, you’ll need to finish your profile. At the very least, you’ll need to fill out your Motto and Description.
How to Communicate with Other Members
If you find someone that stirs up those stomach-butterflies, you have many options to open communication. You can send a message, “Wink” at them (only if you have a photo uploaded), “Flirt” with them (send a flirtatious question for them to respond to) and add them to your favorites. You can also “Like” their photos, send them a virtual gift (pictures of wine, teddy bears, etc.), or ask them a pre-set question, like “Monday’s first thought when you wake up is…”.
If you want to send a message, but can’t think of what to say, Sympatia will help you out and provide randomized messages for you, such as “Hey, I wonder what you think is your greatest advantage. Do you want to share it with me?”.
Unique Site Features
Sympatia’s on-site blog is full of informative, helpful articles, written by professional sociologists, psychologists and coaches. Subjects include “How to say ‘I love you’ for the first time”, and first-date advice: how to dress, where to go, what not to do, whether you should have sex or not, etc.
I liked these articles and picked up a number of helpful tidbits from them. However, there were a fair amount of ads on these pages, including side-bar pop-ups that were quite intrusive and distracting from the otherwise sleek website.

MyDwoje Poland
My Dwoje was founded in 2007 by Catherine Bieber. The main driver behind the site is the compatibility algorithm created by psychologist and therapist Andrew Rutowski.
The premise behind the algorithm is that there are specific pairs of character and personality traits that gel well and lead to a happy, long-lasting, fulfilling relationship. The site uses your answers from the detailed questionnaire you fill in at sign up to compute a compatibility score between you and every other member on the site.
Unlike sites like Sympatia, MyDwoje is not intuitive, and it will take some time getting used to the site. However, with the 300,000 registered users, it is worth giving a try and seeing what happens.
Sign up Process
You can sign up using your Facebook account or manually. Once you register, you will need to take some time to fill out the detailed questionnaire that contains over 100 questions. Make sure you answer the questions carefully and truthfully so that the matching system can do its magic in finding you compatible dating options.
How to Locate Potential Matches
MyDwoje locates potential matches using the algorithm I mentioned above. You will be presented matches who are aligned with you in terms of temperament, personality, values, and life goals.
In addition to the matches that the site will present to you, you’ve got the option of searching through profiles based on 11 criteria, such as height, age, education, attitude to children, smoking, etc. You can also filter users based on how close they are to you geographically.

E-mail and chat are the standard communication methods on MyDwoje.
Unique Site Features
One interesting feature of MyDwoje is the calendar of singles events. These events include personal development workshops, consultations, social mixers, trips, dance parties, private speed dating, and even New Year’s Eve galas.

Przeznaczeni
Przeznaczeni.pl was established in 2005 and is a dating portal for Catholics and people who value friendship, honesty and faithfulness family.
If you are Catholic, and religion plays an important role in your life, I recommend you give this site a try, as well as another dating site, Zapisanisobie.pl. You will find like-minded people at both sites, but Zapisanisobie is smaller and cheaper.
My only complaint with Prezeznaczeni is that sometimes it can be difficult getting a response from a woman. If you encounter this problem like I did, I suggest filling out more of your profile and testing different first messages until you find the right combination of words that work.

The sign up process is standard…nothing special. Take some time to full in a nice profile in order to get a better response rate.

You can message if you are a paid member. You can also get involved in the community-organized events, balls, parties, and meetings. The Prezeznaczeni community is quite large (170,000 in total), so you can be rest assured that there is something to fit your tastes.

I love the fact that you have the option of paying a once-off fee instead of a fixed-term subscription. With many sites, you have the added stress of having to rush to get the most out of your subscription before the end of the term. Not-so if you pay up the money for their once-off fee.
