How to Get a Business Visa for Tanzania

Tanzania Business Visa

Tanzania Business Visa

Going to Tanzania on business?  You might need to get a Business Visa depending on where you are from.

(Go to my Tanzania visa page for information on other types of visas for Tanzania.)

I’ll break everything down for you below about how to go about getting the Tanzania Business Visa.

  • Visa required for U.S. citizens before you go to Tanzania:  No
    • A passport and visa are required for travel to Tanzania. U.S. citizens with valid passports may obtain a visa either before arriving in Tanzania or at any port of entry staffed by immigration officials.
    • I personally recommend that you get your visa for Tanzania before you go to avoid having to wait a ridiculous amount of time at Immigration.  I was not a happy camper when I had to wait for 1 hour for my visa to get processed after arriving in Dar Es Salaam.
  • Visa required for non-U.S. citizens before you go to Tanzania:
    • Click here to see if you need to get a visa before you go to Tanzania.

If you’re outside of the U.S.:  Click here.

  • The official list of fees is here at the Tanzania Department of Immigration, but visa fees might vary depending on where you apply.  I recommend you go to the website of the Embassy or Consulate you found in Step 1 in order to verify what is required for you.
