Are you going to Tajikistan on business?  You might need to get a Business Visa for Tajikistan depending on where you are from.

Don’t forget that, if you are going to travel to the GBAO region, you are going to need to get the GBAO Permit.  You will need to apply for this at the same time that you apply for your visa.

    • A valid passport and visa are required to enter and exit Tajikistan, as well as to register at hotels.

***Very Important***

  • If you go to Tajikistan from countries that have Tajik embassies or consulates, you are going to need to get your visa abroad before you travel. Tajikistan has embassies and consulates in the following countries: the United States of America, the United Kingdom, Afghanistan (Kabul, Mazar-I-Sharif), Austria, Belarus, Belgium, China, Egypt, Germany, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, the Russian Federation, Turkey, Turkmenistan, the United Arab Emirates (Dubai), and Uzbekistan.
  • If you travel to Tajikistan from countries that do not have Tajik embassies or consulates, you can a visa upon arrival at the Dushanbe International Airport.

Gather documentation
  • The official list of required documents is here at the Tajikistan Ministry of Foreign Affairs website, but you should definitely check the website of the Consulate or Embassy you found in Step 1 above to confirm what is required for you.
  • The Embassy of Tajikistan (Washington D.C. website.) has a great and easy to understand list of the documents required for the business visa. Whether you live in the United States or live outside of the U.S., your list of required documents should look something like the following:
  • Two fully completed visa application forms (Note: Make sure to include your entry and exit date)
  • Two passport size photos.
  • Valid passport. Passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of departure.
  • Photocopy of the first page of the passport (the page that has your photo on it)
  • A letter-petition of representations of the foreign companies, organizations and the legal persons irrespective of their form of ownership. (in plain English, this means that you need to have a letter from your company).
  • Visa Fee (More on this below)

  • Visa fees might vary depending on where you apply, so go to the website of the Embassy or Consulate you found in Step 1.

Submit materials
  • Submission instructions will vary from consulate to consulate and embassy to embassy, so you will need to check the submission instructions at the website of the embassy or consulate you found in Step 1.

Receive your visa

Congratulations!  The Embassy or Consulate of Tajikistan will give to you your brand new Tajikistan visa.
