How to Get a Student Visa for Oman

Oman Student Visa

Oman Student Visa

Are you a student planning on attending school in Oman?  You will need to go get a student visa.

One of the main requirements for the Student Visa for Oman is a local sponsor that claims responsibility for you during your stay.  This sponsor must have a license from the authorities concerned to establish an educational or training institution.

(Go to my Oman visa page for information on other types of visas for Oman.)

I’ll break everything down for you below about how to go about getting the Oman Student Visa.

1
Find your closest consulate

If you’re inside the U.S.:

Embassy of The Sultanate of Oman

If you’re outside of the U.S.: Click here.

2
Gather documentation

The official list of required documents is here at the Royal Oman Police website, but you should definitely check the website of the Consulate or Embassy you found in Step 1 above to confirm what is required for you.

3
Visa fee
  • Go to the website of the Embassy or Consulate you found in Step 1 in order to find out the latest fees that apply to you (fees may vary depending on where you apply and taking into account currency exchange differences from place to place).
4
Submit materials
  • Submission instructions will vary from consulate to consulate.  I recommend you check the submission instructions at the website of the embassy or consulate you found in Step 1.
5
Receive your visa

The Embassy or Consulate of Oman will give to you your brand new Oman visa.

6
