Nepal Tourist Visa

Nepal Tourist Visa

If you are headed to Nepal on tourism, you might need to get a tourist visa. Fortunately, citizens of most countries can get a simple tourist visa on arrival at the airport or a land port of entry.

Go to my Nepal visa page for information on other types of visas for Nepal.

I’ll break everything down for you below about how to go about getting the Nepal Tourist Visa.

Transiting through India? Click here.

Visa required for U.S. citizens before you go to Nepal: No. U.S. citizens can get visas prior to travel or purchase multiple-entry visas upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu and many border points of entry. I personally recommend going the visa on arrival route.

Visa required for non-U.S. citizens before you go to Nepal: Check this page here at the Nepal Tourism Board to see if you need to get a visa for Nepal. Most people can get a simple visa on arrival.
