French Guiana Visa

French Guiana Visa

French Guiana is an overseas region of France.  However, even though it is a part of France, if you are a citizen of a country on this list (If you are not on that list and are going for tourism or business purposes, there is no need to get a visa before you travel), you still must get a separate visa for French Guiana for tourism or business purposes (A Schengen visa will not let you in French Guiana).

What this means is that, if you are, for example, traveling through Europe and then onward to French Guiana, you are going to need to get BOTH a Schengen visa and a special visa for French Guiana.

As stated here, if you are coming to French Guiana for any reason other than plain old tourism or business reasons, you will need to get a visa before you go…which you can get at an embassy or consulate of France.
