  • Go to my Costa Rica visa page for information on the different types of visas for Costa Rica.
  • Visa required for U.S. citizens:  No visa needed for stays up to 90 days (tourist or business purposes).  All you need is:
    • A current valid passport.
    • A return ticket to exit Costa Rica (either to return to your country or to go to another country)
  • Where to find your closest embassy or consulate: 
    • If you’re inside the U.S, you can find your “Jurisdiction” (i.e. based on the State you live in) here.
    • If you’re outside of the U.S., at this site here.
